Dogs

Well behaved dogs are most welcome on site and in the carriages and café.

Please read our ‘Doggy Etiquette Guidance’ for more information.

We love dogs and are dog-friendly in all areas. Our resident Labrador, Poppy, regularly patrols the train looking for strokes and vacuuming under tables. Guests should be aware that there will be dogs present. There are no areas or carriages where dogs are excluded.

Dogs are expected to observe our dog etiquette guide, please will you ensure that you observe the following:

  • The dog should be clean, dry and not excessively shedding hair.

  • Kept under the tables – not allowed to block the aisles or other areas and must not be able to dash out.

  • To be kept on a short lead at all times while on site, both indoors and outdoors.

  • Not allowed to bark.

  • Must not disturb or upset other guests or dogs.

  • Must not be aggressive or reactive in any way

  • Muzzled if they have a history or tendency to ‘snap.’

  • NEVER allowed on the furniture (even if it is on a coat or blanket) or knees or allowed to put paws or noses on the tables. ‘Paws on Floors’ please!

  • Encouraged to leave at home or use hooks on the platform if the above is not possible.

  • Always clear up any dog mess and take away with you or place in the platform bins.

  • Not allow dogs to eat food or lick station crockery.

We will ask owners to remove from site any dog that contravenes our rules which are designed to enhance the enjoyment of all guests.

We provide water bowls around the site and dog hooks are available in a shady area of the platform. Doggie treats and ice-cream can be purchased from our shop – please ask for details.

Thankyou for your co-operation in this matter.
